A neoclassical approach for a new built residence near Bucharest. Very precise requirements, fine materials, elegant patterns, distinctive objects and unique details. The atmosphere is quite warm due to the palette of colours used and the space is livable and practical even though is seems rather pretentious. We were part of the project from the beginning and had the opportunity to contribute to the interior architecture and divide the space harmoniously. The concept is based on a reinterpretation of baroque with gold leaf applications on ceilings, paintings, stained glass, candelabras, silk, crystals, hand crafted wooden cabinets, porcelain tiles, stucco walls, columns and arches. A more subtle touch of pink and purple, roses motifs and tapestry was used for two of the bedrooms upstairs. Our intention was to give the fancy kitchen a feeling of countryside, therefore wooden beams and ceramic red floors were installed.
